THE REMIX

The Remix is an annual off-season event where 40 of the top teams from across Texas compete in a return of the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition! The Remix is a rerun of the 2026 Rebuilt competition and will be hosted by Cavalier Robotics (1477 & 7492).

Hosted at The Woodlands College Park High School (West Wing), the event will last from September 19th, 1-7 PM, through September 20th, 8:30 AM - 5 PM. The event is open to the public, and we’ll host concessions.

Cavalier Robotics will also be hosting a STEAM Festival, covering all things related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, with exhibits presented by STEAM-based businesses and organizations. The event is absolutely free and includes hands-on activities and prizes.

A WORD FROM MR. RIP

Hello Everyone,

The Remix is set for Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, at College Park HS in The Woodlands.

Team load-in will start at 9:00 AM on Saturday. Matches will start at 1:00 PM and run until 7:00 PM Saturday evening. Matches will continue at 8:30 AM Sunday with alliance selection at lunch, followed by the playoffs at 1:30 PM.

Last year, we had a pit layout that could accommodate 42 teams. Teams will be allowed to register a second robot, but those will automatically be assigned to the waitlist to allow as many teams as possible to bring one robot. If we reach 32 teams, alliances will consist of four robots during the elimination rounds. The selection sequence will be serpentine: 1 – 8, 8 – 1, and 1 – 8. Event registration is $400. Once your team has registered, you will receive a link via email for the registration fee.

As many of you know, The Remix is scheduled for the fall so pre-rookie teams can participate in the event. This gives them valuable experience before they ever attend a district event. We are waiving the registration fee for pre-rookie teams.

Please use this link to register your team.

We are supporting several charities during The Remix and need your help.

  • As in the past, we will be collecting Bed-in-a-Bag sets for one of the organizations we support called Angel Reach. They help adults who have aged out of the foster care system, providing training, education, and housing in one of their residences. When they take in new clients, the first item Angel Reach provides is a fresh set of bedding. These are sold as “Bed-in-a-Bag,” and they need mostly twin sets. Texas Torque will buy pillows to go with each set of bedding brought in. Every team is expected to bring at least one set of bedding.

  • We are also collecting LEGO sets to take to children at the Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands. The kits are small, typically $15. Here is a link to an example.

Please bring the bedding and LEGO set to check in Saturday morning. If you would like to send the bedding or LEGO set directly to us, the shipping address is

We also need volunteers to run the event. Please use our volunteer registration form if you would like to help.

Do not hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions. I will respond as quickly as possible.
